About me

I am an Associate Professor of Management and Organisation Studies at the University of Bakırçay, Turkey, and currently a Visiting Researcher at the University of Edinburgh Business School. I hold a PhD in Organisation Studies and an MA in Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. My academic career has been shaped by extensive international experience, including research and teaching appointments in the UK, Canada, France, and Lithuania. I teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses in business and management, primarily in English, and have designed and delivered a wide range of modules spanning organisational behaviour, organisation theory, international business, entrepreneurship, and research methods.

My research focuses on inequality in work and organisations, with particular attention to refugee workforce integration, institutional theory, and alternative organisational forms such as cooperatives. My work has been published in leading international journals and edited volumes, and I am currently engaged in comparative research on refugee labour market integration in the UK and Turkey. Alongside academic research, I collaborate closely with NGOs and community organisations, aiming to produce research that is theoretically rigorous, socially relevant, and impactful beyond academia.
